Fifteen minutes from downtown. Direct service from New York, Washington, Chicago and Atlanta. Taxis and rideshare wait curbside; rental counters are inside the terminal.

By car

I-95 north

Two hours from Boston, five and a half from New York. Downtown garages on Fore and Custom House are the easiest overnight parking.

By rail or coach

Amtrak Downeaster & Concord Coach

The Downeaster runs from Boston North Station to Portland in two and a half hours. Concord Coach runs from Boston and New York directly into the Portland Transportation Center.

Portland fills quickly in high summer. Our blocks are held until the first of June — after that, the city is on its own schedule.
